We're inviting you to celebrate our wedding in the magical city of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. 

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a captivating Mexican gem, boasting cobblestone streets, stunning architecture, and a blend of history, art, and (surprise surpise)... romance. Not to mention an eclectic food scene of regional and creative wonders (an E&amp;M priority). Having spent a few summers here and across many corners of Mexico, we felt this to be the perfect backdrop for our special day. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

About San Miguel 

GETTING TO SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE

TLDR; Good things take time<a href="https://www.travelandleisure.com/san-miguel-de-allende-travel-guide-5429388" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">San Miguel is a beautiful place</a> and requires a bit of work to get to. The most convenient route is flying into Queretaro Airport (~1 hour drive away from San Miguel de Allende). For the scenic route - you can also schedule a private car using <a href="https://daytrip.com/landing/mexico-city-to-san-miguel-de-allende" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">daytrip</a> from Mexico City to San Miguel de Allende (3.5 hour drive). We have used it before and it is always a smooth, reliable experience. I'm sure some of you will be spending time in Mexico City or elsewhere in Mexico before/after, which is a wonderful idea!

WHAT AIRPORTS SHOULD I FLY INTO?

We would love if everyone could attend all events planned for the weekend! If you plan on attending these events, we encourage you to book your flights sooner rather than later. We recommend pre-booking with a reputable car service (we do not recommend renting a car). Traveling from Mexico City

In terms of traveling from CDMX to San Miguel, we recommend using <a href="https://daytrip.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Daytrip</a>, German Cardona (Private Driver's), or <a href="https://www.smxperience.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">SMXperience </a>which is available globally for private city-to-city transfers; we have used it in Mexico City and has always been a smooth, reliable experience.

CREDIT CARDS & CASH

Most places in San Miguel accept credit cards, but here and there cash will come in very handy (especially if you want street food).

GETTIN' AROUND (SAN MIGUEL) TOWN 

Get Your Steps InSan Miguel is a pleasantly walkable city to explore (reminder: San Miguel has beautiful cobblestone streets - so pack comfortable footwear). Uber/ Taxi Drivers In and Around TownIf you want to explore further, we encourage you to do so via Uber, hailing green taxis, or asking your hotel to arrange a taxi for you. If hailing cabs, remember to bring your pesos!

WHAT'S THE WEATHER LIKE?

Expect splendid high temperatures around 85°F (30°C) during the day and and lows around 52°F (11°C) at the dead of night. You can expect plenty of sunshine during the day and definitely a breezy evening, so bring that sweater/light jacket. April is a also dry month with almost no rainfall (we hope!). You may find you'll go from wearing shorts and a t shirt in the heart of the day to then wearing a sweater and flowy pants come dinner!

FOOD

Our go 2 establishment. Only open for breakfast and lunch but go make a trip to the north side of town, a cool enclave. The poblano crema is life changing and I finally have the recipe from them (but discover yourself!). The tostadas, flautas and tacos are all exceptional, paired nicely with a hibiscus mezcalita. Oh, how lovely.
